A magical night at the Bluebird

I was recently a part of one of the best writers rounds I’ve ever been a part of. Lori McKenna invited me, along with the Warren Brothers and Mark Erelli to join her round at the Bluebird Cafe. The show was a benefit for a great cause called MusiCares. Tim and Faith were both in the crowd along with Byron and Missi Galimore, and producer Don Was. My record label was there as well.

Speaking of record labels, I know you all want to know when the CD will be released. We’re coming with “The Beach” as the next single. It is doing well at secondary radio now, and it will be released to all markets in January. All “secondary” means is smaller markets, but I believe those stations are a huge part of building a career. Anyway, request the heck out of it for me.

I know a lot of you want to know what I do when I’m off the road touring. I write songs for Sony Music Publishing, so I’m trying to use my time wisely and write when I have the chance. It looks like Tim McGraw will be taking me out again next year, so I need to pour the coals to writing when I can. It is hard for me to write on the road.

I feel like the new year is going to bring great things. I have a great single that I believe in, and that along with the McGraw tour should keep things cooking along. I appreciate you all very much, and appreciate your patience in waiting on this record. It is a really good one, and I believe there is something for everybody on there.

You all take care,
Lance

I am proud of you

The only problem with you getting so big in Nashville it will be hard to say hello. We can't wait to see you in Roswell. And your friend Austin is great he has emailed a couple of times. I can't wait to meet him in person. Still trying to get you booked in Arizona. There is one place I am just waiting on final approval and date. I will be in charge of entertainment and of course you and Austin are the ones I have picked . It is a battle of the bands at a high school and colledge and they want you guys for the final acts. Total of three campus's. Lots of students. Will talk to you more in Roswell. Take care. I wish i could go to the one in Alabama but I have to work. Your fan Kim Lee
